Play Reading for The Widows Parkman and Webster!

Hi all!

I wrote a short play called The Widows Parkman and Webster! It's about the 1849 murder of the landlord George Parkman by Professor John Webster. This is not about them, but their wives and the aftermath of a crime.

It was written with the series, CRISPR (Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Play Readings), as a part of the Catalyze Playwriting Group.

Special thanks to my actors for doing a wonderful reading. Noe Kamelamela, Katie Drexel, and Angela Davis, it was a pleasure to work with you!

In April, the play was read in front of a live audience--and recorded! It's all available to view here for your enjoyment:

Catalyzing Fire

Over at Fireside Fiction, my flash piece "Beast of Breath" came out this month.

I can't overstate how much I appreciate the journal's acceptance of this story. It means a lot to me, as I was fairly sure during the submission process that this story would not find a home.

Thanks to editor Julia Rios for proving me wrong. I'm so happy to be a part of Fireside.

Recently, I participated in a group writing play experience, The Drake Equation Plays as part of the play writing group, Catalyze. The readings of the Drake Equation Plays have been filmed and are posted here. Here's my own play, "Ice Breakers." It's about mermaids theorizing about a planet of bipeds. Special thanks to readers Katherine Drexel, Masha Sten-Clanton, and Brie Frame!
